AHC 2008 Conference
Program
The Conference provides an opportunity to showcase multidisciplinary statewide talent and innovation in youth programs and reflects the interests, issues, and hot topics of the time. The theme will allow the exploration of topics in a variety of health areas and provides an opportunity to work with young people on issues both current and evolving.
Young people are disproportionately involved in and affected by the problems that plague communities and want to be engaged as change-makers in their lives, their families and their communities. Change is most effective when youth and community development happen in partnership and youth are afforded the opportunities for meaningful engagement at all levels. The conference will focus on skill building through integration of a youth development and community development lens. Many conference sessions will include adult and youth participants.
