Children’s Environmental Health Network

A national, multidisciplinary project dedicated to promoting a healthy environment and to protecting children from environmental hazards. The Network is composed of experts who address children’s environmental health issues through education, research, and policy.

 


U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Safety & Health Administration Teen Workers

Provides safety and health information for the young worker and others. It answers questions often asked by the working teen. Details about workers’ rights and responsibilities, and links to training and other educational tools.

Gateway providing quick access to information about Federal and State labor laws that apply to young workers.

 


Communities for a Better Environment

Social justice organization with a focus on environmental health and justice in working class communities of color in Northern and Southern California. Provides training for community members, with specific programs for youth.

 


Healthy Schools Network, Inc.

Provides parents and community advocates with resources for recognizing environmental problems in the school and strategies for grassroots advocacy. Links to related websites are also included.

 


The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, National Institutes of Health

Provides extensive information on environmental health issues including current research and strategies for improving personal environmental health including youth-specific strategies.

 


California Resource Network for Young Workers’ Health and Safety

Provides working teens, parents, and others with information about safety hazards in many typical teen jobs and will explain California wage, hour, and child labor regulations in order to educate and protect young workers.

 


National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health

Provides information pertaining to adolescent worker safety, including statistics on the current state of the US adolescent work force and strategies that will help working youth remain healthy and injury free. Links to related websites are also included.
